Finland is a modern industrialised country. The engineering and high technology industries are today the leading branches of manufacturing, with mobile phone as the most important export product. The forest industry, which used to be the major sector, is still important. Finland is one of the world's leading exporters of forest products, which account for 30% of the country's export revenues. This is no surprise, as forests are the country's most important raw material resource.
