Night in an Igloo Under the Northern Lights

Hotel and Igloo Village Kakslauttanen, half an hour drive from Ivalo airport, is a perfect location for a holiday to escape the rush and bustle of city life. It has a beautiful location amidst the untouched Lapp wilderness, 300 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Far away from city lights, the place is also excellent for viewing the aurora borealis, or northern lights, whenever they adorn the dark sky with their colourful waves.

Daily schedule:

Day 1 Arrival in Ivalo and transfer to Hotel and Igloo Village Kakslauttanen
Day 2 Dogsled adventure
Day 3 Excursion to a local reindeer farm
Day 4 Igloo night experience
Day 5 Transfer to Ivalo airport for the flight back to Helsinki

4 nights accommodation in a small log cabin (max 4 persons) equipped with own sauna and fireplace
1 night in a snow igloo, double occupancy (the cabin is also at your disposal for this night)

airport transfers between Ivalo airport and Kakslauttanen by hotel's shuttle bus
dog sled excursion with picnic lunch
reindeer excursion with picnic lunch

NOTE! This is a non-escorted tour. Services of a guide and domestic air fares are not included. Daily cleaning of the cottage and change of linen available at extra cost on spot.
